the gold parade is finally here, but you are not around to see it. the gold parade is finally here, so tell me if you do believe it. there's glitter on your eyes, and there's glitter on everything that i see. the sun is shining down, but soon, the sun will set on everybody. we don't talk. we don't debate. we only dance imperfect circles. we just run around with our eyes closed. we misunderstand the ways that others think, afraid they'll hurt us. everybody sticks to what they know in the USA. the golden age will come and go like every golden age before us. museum pieces we will be, and future students will adore us. there's sugar in the bowl, but there is salt hidden below the surface. thought different, they change the taste, so i suppose that they serve the same purpose. candy coated days and nights are covering the moon with syrup. honey overcomes the human mind. thoughts are running all too fast, like wild horses free from stirrups. captive thoughts will make us feel untied in the USA.

Alkaline 02:44
alkaline, alkaline, you're not running out of time. power through just like you were built to do. some might say suicide is a painless way to die, but alkaline, you know that is a lie. call me when you're feeling fine. there's no thrill in the severing of a spine. some might say if you die, then you're done having to cry, but there is no alternative to life.

nothing's quite as happy as chelsea on a good day, and nothing's quite as sad as her when the good day ends. nothing's quite as happy as chelsea with a pot of coffee, but when the pot of coffee's gone, she turns to heroin. chelsea, i love you. my eyes just hang above you. chelsea, i want you to know that you don't have to die. nothing's quite as pretty as chelsea when she's sleeping. but tonight, i lie awake, afraid she won't wake up. nothing's quite as scary as her when she stops breathing. i don't know, but i am sure that chelsea's overdosed. your skin is cold. your face is white. your tunnel's here. where is the light they talked about in stories yesterday? my eyes still hang above you. you know i want you to know that it's okay to die.

some people just cannot stand to wait, and i used to be the best of them. who am i at the end of the day, when i get away from all my friends? there are peppermints in the lobby, and i don't mind. here i am. i'm knocking at your door, screaming, "baby, would you let me in?" that is what the universe is for: beginning, and not fathoming the end. is this elevator the door to hell? where do you go when you go to sleep? to a place in the sunny woods where the cyborgs creep? i've got some music, got some money, got some places that i want to go, but where do you go when your eyes close? to a place in the sunny woods where nobody knows? i've got some music, got no money, got a lot of things that i don't need, but where do you go when you go to sleep?

i thank God for you. all the grace that flows from your eyes is a Holy Extension of Power that's greater than yours or mine. hooray! the paper highway is painted gold like you'd have it to be. it's always something that appears to make me believe. all the love that pours from your face is a Holy Extension of rivers that flow in another place. hooray! the paper highway is Christ and her and me.

Jerome 07:09
at most, we are two separate souls. wander on. think not of home. when you're reaching for the Heart of God, you may wonder what He's got in His bag of miracles in tricks when you feel sick. phoebe smiles when phoebe sleeps. there's drool on her pillow that's run down her cheeks. love and squalor for the girl who sees beauty in her world. let her in the back of my aging mind. you don't drive me crazy. i've always been. i've been thinking lately. it's all the same, despite the name. you don't drive me crazy, but i could say you might someday. sometimes, things aren't what they seem. heroes are villains and in-betweens. you could read all books, and you could see all dirty looks, and maybe it's not good to be jerome. you don't drive me crazy. i've always been. i've been thinking lately, and to be real, i'm thinking still. you don't drive me crazy, and to be real, you never will.

about

Since my last proper solo release, I've not been totally inactive. I've released a cover for a fan group. I've released a little instrumental piece for the fun of it. I've recorded a collaborative album with friends (under the name Suicide Doors), and I've produced a record for a dear friend. I've played a lot of shows. But in nine months of not releasing a single proper solo album, single, or anything else, I have had plenty of time to get ideas. My family, my friends, and my fans, I sincerely hope you enjoy this.

God bless you, and thank you for everything you've done for me.
