These pedaling feet and handle bar knees, daily ritual
This rotted old door and water warped floor, there's no way back
But I'll start from the beginning, there must be some other way
But the air up here keeps thinning, I drown more and more everyday
But I will love you always
Your pendulum smile and tapping denial, cause confusion
So tear it all down to combat this town, overwhelming
I'll start from the beginning, if there just was some other way
But the air up here keeps thinning, I drown more and more everyday
But I will love you always, and I mean always (for now)
I'll rebuild this fortress, I'll rebuild these walls
But this love is morning glory swiftly tailored for release
It's always the same story, selfish egocentricity
But I will love you always, through the darkness our souls will meet

The quiet Pentecostal girl, she did okay. She made a "C". I guess it never mattered much, at least not to her, at least not to me.
There are things that you can't take with you when you leave, and that's okay with me.
The quiet Pentecostal girl, I saw her once a week ago. Everything changes fast, but sometimes, it changes slow.
There are things you just can't take with you when you go, and that's okay with me.
The books on your shelves are full of blank pages. the pages inside are tattered and torn. They have been blank since the day you were born.
And that's okay with me.

i'm getting lost in your drawings on my windshield. i'm getting high from the sound of your voice. i'm getting drunk from the ink that forms your letters. you make my favorite noise. you make my favorite noise. you'd write a poem, but you know that i would read it. you'd read it out, but you tell me you would scream. i'm getting lost in your drawings on my windshield. just waste some time with me. just waste your time with me. i'll take it slow, even though i'm prone to move fast. i'll take it slow, and i swear i'll do it right. i'm getting lost in your drawings on my windshield. i just want your warmth tonight. i just want your warmth tonight.

Drew was a huge inspiration to me when I first started writing and recording music, and he has continued to influence my work in a variety of ways. We came in contact a couple of years ago, and this EP grew from a series of correspondence. We decided to release an EP consisting of one original song by each of us, as well as a cover of the song by the other artist. "Windshield" was a single that I had previously released, and Drew recorded it for his covers album. We decided to release it as part of the EP instead. This EP was released as part of our October 2016 tour together. All revenues that come in before the tour will be applied to tour expenses. Physical copies are already limited, so only a few will be available online.
Enjoy!
